"Clayman" was one of the themes over at the Daily Spitpaint group today, so I decided to use it since I didn't have anything else in mind. I did the majority of this in the 30 minute time limit, but then I spent a bit longer adding more details and trying out some new techniques, and that's the version you see here.
Edit: updated with all important googly eyes
love how this almost looks like you did it out of real clay. you really have a good grasp of not only painting stuff in a three dimensional way but with textures as well. bravo!
All of these daily draws you do have an amazing-looking '3D' rendered effect to them! Would you be willing to share with us your process for that effect?
That's the one!
There a few different ways I think, but the method I tend to use is (in photoshop) select the blue channel of your image (in the channels panel) and then run filter > Spherize with a strength of 5, then select the green channel and do the same but with a strength of 3, and then finally do the same with the red channel but with a strength of 1
At first glance I thought it was a photograph.
